I'm Destiny Harris, founder and artist of Drawn from Cocoon®

Drawn from Cocoon® grew from a desire to create something meaningful with my hands.

My journey was unplanned, shaped over many years by curiosity, experimentation, and a growing desire to create work that feels personal, emotive, and completely unique.

The journey from cocoon to silk, is a story of transformation and becoming, which reflects the meaning behind Drawn from Cocoon® and mirrors my own creative journey as an artist.

My faith, quietly shapes how I see beauty, wonder, transformation, and creation itself.

All of my silk scarves and wraps emerge through emotion, movement, colour, and quiet moments of discovery. Rather than working from fixed ideas, I am drawn to exploration, allowing each piece to become what it is meant to be.

The Drawn from Cocoon® Creative Process

  • Conceptualise

    A story begins before the brush and dye touch the silk.

  • Hand-paint

    Layer by layer, colour finds its own rhythm.

  • Steam

    Heat and time permanently unite colour with silk.

  • Hand-Finish

    Each piece is individually hand-hem rolled and carefully finished before leaving the studio.
