A Story of Transformation

My name is Destiny Harris, and I started Drawn from Cocoon^® from a desire to create something meaningful with my hands.

My creative journey was unplanned, shaped over many years by curiosity, experimentation, and a growing desire to create work that feels personal, emotive, and completely unique.

The journey from cocoon to silk, is a story of transformation and becoming, which reflects the meaning behind Drawn from Cocoon^® and mirrors my own creative journey as an artist.

All of the silk scarves emerge through emotion, movement, colour, and quiet moments of discovery. Rather than working from fixed ideas, I am drawn to exploration, allowing each piece to become what it is meant to be.

My faith, quietly shapes how I see beauty, wonder, transformation, and creation itself.

100% Mulberry silk is individually created, hand-painted, and finished with hand-rolled hems.

Made in Gqeberha, South Africa. Created slowly and intentionally.
